Digital Collage Assignment (Intermediate & Senior)

Scenario: You have been selected by your community to be in charge of a community awareness day. You need to plan a multi-factor approach to entice the public to learn more about your community, beginning with an awareness collage highlighting aspects of it to draw the public’s attention.

Step 1: Brainstorming

• Pick one of the communities you chose on the Google Form and research the following aspects of your community:

• symbol / emblem; representative(s); history/traditions; celebrations; specific values; assets

Step 2: Digital Collage & Bibliography

• Using Kapwing, design a collage of the positive aspects of your community using the research you found in Step 1 above and as shown in class. See the sample below for an example.

• Include a bibliography for your images on a separate Word document.
• Refer to OWL Purdue for bibliography formatting (APA style)
• Use the rubric to guide your work (see here)
