About My Community
I have always known I was part of the Ethiopian Orthodox Christian community because I've been going to church since I was born. Being part of this community is wonderful because everyone is so friendly and kind! The times I feel most attached to this community are when we are celebrating or praying because praying is one of the things we do most and celebrating with family and friends makes us closer! I love being part of this community for many reasons one of them being the food it is healthy but it still tastes good and I also like the Habesha kemis meaning Habesha dress (Habesha is what we sometimes call Ethiopians or Eritreans) Ethiopian dresses are handmade they use cotton and make string with it my grandma knows how to do it maybe someday I'll learn how to do it!
